Q). Do you offer programs specifically for home schooled students?

A). Yes we do. We have our Homeschool Physical Education program for students Ages 5-17 years and have a Student/Teacher Ratio 12:1.

Since 1977, GAR has been developing quality athletic programs for the Northern Illinois community. Knowing that you value the quality of your child’s well-rounded education, we are proud to offer a curriculum specifically designed for today’s home school families in order to complete your child’s physical education.

We look forward to the exhibition you are provided during the final class of the session that highlights the skills your child has developed during our 13-week session that includes: trampoline, gymnastics, tumbling, dance and strength & flexibility.

Q). Do you offer class discounts?

A). Yes we do offer discounts. Discounts will be given to families for a second, third or fourth child in a session at the rate of 10%. Also, a 10% discount will be given to the second or third class each child takes unless a discount has already been applied to the price. Other discounts and coupons may not be accumulated.

Q). Do You Offer Class Advancement?

A). Instructors will inform parents of class advancement. Using our new Poster Reward System, the student will be advanced to the next level as soon as criteria are met, even if it is in the middle of the session. It is for the Safety of your child to be placed in the proper class. Please do not move your child to the next level without the consent of his/her instructor.

Q). What is the required uniform?

A). Girls- Leotard and briefs (no tights). Biking shorts over leotard is acceptable. Clean white footies or white socks (have one pair just for class). No bare feet. Long hair must be pulled back (no marble balls in ponytail holders). No oversized clothing. No leotards with shirts.

Boys- Shorts(elastic waist). No zippers buttons or snaps. T-shirts must stay tucked in. No oversized clothing. Clean, white socks ( save one pair just for class).

Q). Will you ever cancel Classes?

A). Class Cancellations
GAR reserves the right to cancel classes if minimum enrollment is not met. GAR also reserves the right to dismiss and student for behavioral problems.

Weather Cancellations
Cancellations that result from extreme weather will be announced on major radio and TV stations. If you call our office, even though we may not be able to make it to the office, we will leave a message on the answering machine to inform you of what we will be doing for the day. Please do not call the radio/TV stations. Make-ups for cancellation due to extreme weather may be scheduled though the GAR office.
