Since 1977, GAR has been developing quality athletic programs fo rthe Northern Illinois community.  Knowing that you value your child's well-rounded education, we are proud to offer a curriculum specifically designed for today's home school families in order to complete your child's physical education requirements.  Home School PE begins January 16, 2012 and ends April 27, 2012 

 

We would like to welcome you and your family to the Little Stars Program at GAR. Our program is considered one of the most innovative programs available today for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten children. Our program is designed to help each child's individual physical awareness, strength, balance and coordination. The program is a preparation for school achievement. It will help your child learn "how to learn." Your child will do better in the classroom with self confidence he/she gained through learning how to analyze. Our instructors are highly trained, imaginative professionals who are actively involved in the growing world of gymnastic education for all ages. We are proud to have a success orientated program designed to help children feel good about themselves, and we believe that you will find something for everyone in your family to begin an active life within our program.

 

 

Bars, beam, floor-X & vault, all the traditional women's Olympic events. GAR's state-of-the-art training facility provides each student with a positive, progressive and fun approach to learning gymnastics. This is a success-oriented program designed to develop the individual, as well as the gymnast.

 

 

This course provides each student with the essentials to prepare themselves for the challenges of our more advanced disciplines and other sports. GAR is now a nationally ranked gym in strength and flexibility within USA Gymnastics. As a result, our students will enjoy the opportunity to excel in Strength, Flexibility, Tumbling and Trampoline.

 

 

A fun alternative to the traditional apparatus style of gymnastics. It's just you and the floor! GAR's tumbling program is simply the finest program available in the USA today. Our coaching staff has developed more local, state, national and world champions than any program in existence today. So, whether you are tumbling for fun or aspiring to be the best in the world, we have a place for you!

 

 

GAR's Trampoline program is considered one of the finest recreational and competitive programs in the USA today, credited with the numerous National and World titles. This course has a unique Safe Progression System into every step of the skill development process to enable your child the safest learning experience available anywhere. Trampoline is the perfect tool for developing skills in other sports like cheerleading, diving, tumbling and gymnastics.

 

 

Whether you are just starting out, preparing for tryouts or refining your skills during the season, GAR's Cheerleading classes will be your constant source for improvement. Our recreation program at GAR provides you the quality cheerleading coaching that you would expect from an award winning program. Our recreation classes are coached to prepare your child to be a well-rounded cheerleader.

  

If you are looking for a great way to help improve your athletic performance, but have a hard time doing it on your own, this class is for you! During this hour, you work solely on strength and flexibility components. Everything from pushups to pull-ups, core exercises and program specific stretches, to learning how to make healthy choices in diet and activity. This class is perfect for everyone whether you tumble, swing, bounce or cheer. Come reach your personal goals with us.

 

 

Treat yourself and your kids to a unique birthday experience that will long be remembered! There are several party options available for you at GAR !!  Parties are held on weeknights, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Birthday parties are held in both Rockford and Roscoe locations

 

 

Parents take the night off and leave the kids to us! We provide snacks, open gym time, games, GAR's Club XRKade and much, much more! Parents Night Out is generally held every Saturday night (check at the front desk or call for a monthly schedule) Please call ahead to reserve a spot. Children must be at least 3 years old and completely potty trained. Parent's Night Out is had in both Rockford and Roscoe locations. GAR's Club XRKade available in Rockford location only.

 

 

Are the kids out of school, but you still need to go to work? Don't worry…bring them to GAR's Day Camps. Your child will enjoy gymnastics, trampoline, crafts, tumbling, play on the Backyard Adventures play sets and much more! Camps are held at both Rockford and Roscoe locations

 

As we embark on our 11th year with Adventure Camps, never have we felt more privileged to be a part of so many families' lives.  Without a doubt, there is nothing more important than having your child in a safe and happy environment. Since 1999, this has been Adventure Camps paramount goal.  But GAR and Adventure Camp is so much more than just this!!  Adventure camp is about discovering the world, making new friends and growing up proud.  Adventure Camp is about letting your hair down and being absolutely SILLY!  It is about creating dreams and developing the confidence to pursue them. Children need to be shown that they are important, special and loved. This key pursuit is what makes GAR's Adventure Camp stand alone above all the rest. This year, we have even made our camps more exciting..we are having "theme weeks".  Each "theme" is centered around the field trip of that week. We are proud to bring your our 2010 Adventure and Super Adventure Camps with imaginative curriculum and a dynamic array of camp activities. We are proud to provide your child with a summer of limitless fun in a safe and positive environment. But what we are most proud of is the chance to help build great kids and create a time in their life they will never forget! Parents send their kids year after year!!  Why? Because while camp is so much fun, what kids are really experiencing are positive life lessons and the opportunity to develop happy, healthy lifestyles.  With over 30 years in the gymnastic industry and over 10 years of operating camps, we've put our experience into providing the best camp experience for your child.  Safety and fun is paramount in everything we do, the safety of our campers continues to be our foremost goal, all in a fun, active wholesome environment.  Without a doubt, our all-adult staff, low ratios, extensive training and certification create the best possible group of counselors and directors for your child.  Our camp realizes the importance of supervision, and that is why all of our camp leaders are over 18 years of age and First Aid/CPR trained.  Camper/Counselor ratio is 12:1 or less.  No other camp program combines such a dynamic curriculum,mature staff and well orgranzed summer camp program.

 

Little Stars Open Gym(Ages 6 and under - Child must be completely potty trained to be dropped off)  Bring the play group to us! Come in for some organized play and bring your friends. Your child can play in our Little Stars Gym under supervision of our GAR staff. Little Star's Open Gym is held at both Rockford and Roscoe locations.
