Tae Kwon Do is a Korean art of self-defense for the unarmed.  Tae Kwon Do means: the way of the hand and foot.  Tae Kwon Do dates back to the Silla Dynasty over 2,000 years ago.  Strict discipline is used to train the mind and body.  Tae Kwon Do teaches: confidence, courtesy, respect, coordination and self-control.  It is great for cardiovascular, muscle toning, and weight loss.  Studies have shown that 80% of Tae Kwon Do students have better grades in their school curriculum.  Compeitions are used for learning, friendship, and having some fun!  Tae Kwon Do is now recognized as an Olympic sport.

Intermediate, advanced and black belt training in Tae Kwon Do (free style/competitive) for students of all ages; Kick Boxing (American and International Rules) for students 12 and older; Kick Aerobics (Cardio Kick Boxing) for students 12 and older and private lessons (by appointment only) in self defense or any of the above. Excel Academy also ffers intermediate and advanced calsses, sparring classes, Kick Boxing Weapons and Extreme Martial Arts Classes.  For a detailed schedule, click the Excel Academy link above.
